There are alot of amenities at this Pocono Resort including, but not limited to, a large heated pool, game room, night club, hot tub, tennis courts, sand volleyball court, water volleyball, walking trails, ATV trails, and an excercise room. We started doing day trips, then camping, have stayed in the motel, and now own a place there. Sunny Rest Resort has to be the single best find of our lives! We originally found this place in 2003 and have since spent most summer weekends there. We met wonderful people, the residents were friendly, loved the golf cart, loved the pools, had a fabulous time, and we can't wait to go back! Just do it - relax - and enjoy the experience. You will not be the best looking person there and you will not be the worst looking either. The fact that everybody is nude is why nobody really pays any attention. You think - what is wrong with me - nobody even noticed than I am naked. After a short time you realize that no one really notices you and you feel a little let down. For the first 15 minutes I was afraid that everybody would point and laugh. The first time we tried the nude thing we were scared to death. After 15 minutes you forget you are nude and begin to relax. If you want to give the nude vacation a try, go Monday through Thursday, and you will be able to ease into being nude until you are comfortable. If you are looking for a lot of activity go Thursday and plan on leaving Sunday. Thursday through Sunday a younger crowd shows up. We loved the pool next to streakers bar, which they call a conversation pool. During the week there is an older crowd with the average age of the people in their 50's. The web site needs a little updating, but we found the place better than the pictures posted. This is a great place to get a feel for what living in a nudist community would be like, it was great. The only difference is the majority of the people are nude. The residents were very friendly, you see people walking their dogs, working in their yards, and cooking on the grill, just like at home. The crowd included plenty of couples around our age (30's). During the week things were rather subdued, but on the weekend the place came alive. Everyone that worked there went out of their way to remember our names. The pools, hot tubs, and patios were well maintained, nicely landscaped, and lots of fun. The clubhouse with its disco, pool bar, and restaurant was top notch. Some friends had told us (more like raved) about Sunny Rest, so we decided to give it a try for my was fantastic! the hotel room was clean, pleasant, and up to date. The resort is large, 190 acres, 2 pools, tennis courts, sand volleyball court, and walking trails in the woods.
